It took a really long time to connect with this story, but when I did, my goodness, I got hooked.

Violet is such an amazing character, her growth throughout the entire story is one of the best character arcs I've ever read. The plot is great, full of twists, great friendships, magic and cool dragons. How can you ask for more than that?

Are there any weird little things? Yes. Why the hell do they need to bond with a dragon to write with a pen? What kind of power is that? Why are the sex scenes so…detailed? We get it, sex is good, we don't need to read every thing they feel.

The ending was brilliant! I can't wait to read the second book.

Really loved this book. Slower start and some items were a little predictable but from when

she got her 2 dragons

I was hooked!

This book reads like a fantasy-flavored reimagining of Divergent. It's a fun read that feels predictable throughout. If you're looking for a romance novel and you like a fantasy setting, this might be a good option. If you're looking for enemies to lovers and LGBTQI+ representation - I would look elsewhere.

It was so hard to get into this book and took me a whole month to finish. Violet isn’t really the most loveable character. Also I was very tired of hearing how small and fragile she was repeatedly throughout the book. Riorson really saves this book for me.

SO GOOD. I haven't read a book of this size this quick in a very long time. It's one of those books where you know the narrator is going to be okay because they're the main character, but also you're really worried that they're not gonna be okay.
