Holy shit!!! What took me so long to read this book!!! It is incredible!!! Rebecca Yarros is in the same league with Sarah J Maas except with Rebecca it doesn’t take a book or 2 to get me addicted to the series, I was hooked from the beginning! I loved everything about this book & I already want to read it again!!! But instead I’m going to go start Iron Flame! 😍

I found most of the plot predictable, and based on that would 3.5 it. But the characters and the dragons bump it to a 4. I really enjoyed the war college aspect, and loved that the FMC didn't automatically become amazing at everything. Finally, the banter between dark and broody and the strong willed FMC is what ya girl loves.

Rebecca Yarros really sat down and wrote a book which includes every possible trope ever. Manic pixie dream girl, not like the other girls, i’m no longer attracted to my best friend but i am attracted to the guy who wants to kill me. You’ll find all these and more. Also the ending is just the hunger games: catching fire. (Rating: 1.5)

I hated it a lot less the second time around. Long story short: the premise is awesome but the writing SUCKS. (Rating: 3)

I was hesitant to read this book because of the hype however this has become one of my favorites. Definitely a book I would recommend to friends.

Doesn't live up to the hype but it is a cute,  simple read for something that is military school for teens with dragons. The dragons are neat.
