One thing worth noting about Fourth Wing is its world-building. The setting—both the military academy and the broader world of dragons and warfare—feels rich and immersive, with its own rules, history, and challenges. The world isn't just a backdrop for the characters' actions; it deeply influences their decisions, relationships, and growth. The blend of fantastical elements with military training adds an exciting layer to the plot, and the consequences of the world’s harsh realities are constantly felt by the characters.

Also, the romantic tension in the story is another element that keeps readers engaged. While the relationships are important, they don't overshadow the main plot or character arcs, striking a good balance between romance, action, and personal growth.

Overall, it's a compelling mix of emotional depth, high-stakes action, and a strong character-driven narrative, making it a gripping read.

If you like a slow burn romance this book is for you. There are many ups and down. The main focus is on Violet Soringal. She is forced into the riders quaderint will she live or will she die you will never know unless you read it

I smiled. I laughed. I gasped. I cried. I almost hyperventilated. And those plot twists. This is a masterpiece.

A fun and entertaining book where the real star of the show are the dragons. Xaden may be an amalgamation of Rhysand and Azriel, but it works. It's nice to see a FMC with a disability; it's sad that the only person willing to make accommodations for said character is her ginormous fire breathing death dragon, but that's Basgiath War College for you.
The world building is fast-paced, sometimes too much so, but if you can overlook some plot holes, the relationships between the main characters and their dragons are worth it.
