I liked the idea behind the book no even kinda enjoyed the MCs but it was just boring. There wasn’t much to it. Even the drama wasn’t worth it. It also felt too cookie cutter and perfect. I’m all for insta connects but I still would like a believable plot

Unexpected twists

And turns awaiting around each corner. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the nuances this story entailed. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

I thought for the most part this was a good story. It certainly had two likable characters. Who shared some chemistry and a few hot moments. It was also easy to read, sweet and at times engaging.

However there was one thing that didn't work for me. That being, the whole serial killer sub plot. Which I didn't get at all. As it never added to the overall story, and it felt to me like it had been written more as an after thought than anything else. Also I never once felt like Noah or Dean were in any danger, and I easily figured out who the killer was from the screen name they used to contact Noah.

Yet despite this I did still enjoy it and as a new author to me. I would check out more of Max Walkers books. Even if I did find this one a little hit and miss.

One of my favorite things about this book is that it was heavy on the romance with a secondary plot instead of vice versa. The doctor and cam boy pairing is really interesting and I love the possibility of this happening in real life is slim to none. Seriously, one of the reasons I love romance is because of the escapism of the fantasy in which we find ourselves. Both men in this story are far too perfect and are perfect for each other which is what makes this an excellent story.

A cute romance with a relatively original plot. I liked both the characters involved, their romance was relatively light-hearted and they had a solid basis in their relationship. The side characters weren't annoying and you got a sense of their friendship with the main characters without them being overbearing. I kept trying to predict the twists but then I was continually surprised, which was a nice change.

However the medical inaccuracies made me grind my teeth and I disliked how the serial killer was resolved and dealt with so quickly.

This was an enjoyable book and I would recommend it if you like these kinds of books.

Mixed bag of good bits hampered by odd execution

Max Walker knows how to write a great sex scene and there's some smoking hot ones in this one.

Walker's also great with the bones of a story but, unfortunately, there always just seems to be something off that stops them being 5* romances.

In this one it's some odd grammar usage, a side plot of serial killer which just doesn't work at all and a pairing who rush somewhat into romance even with all their previous emotional baggage. Both characters read younger than they were supposed to be as well which helped to add to the overall sense of something just not meshing right.

Still, it's by no means a poor book, there is a great connection between Dean and Noah and there's the usual super sweet epilogue rounding things out.
