What I didn't like:
1.The B-grade filmy romances. Vin-Elend saga was couple goals in Mistborn, I was expecting something along the line. Navani's coyness and Shallan's naivety felt like no-brainers to me. The justice glyph scene was overly melodramatic and somewhat offensive to the innate subtlety of Sanderson's works.

2. I know it is about Honour, but can the people at the shattered planes show some basic cunning (beyond backstabbing politics)? Honour was killing people for about 80% of the book. The glory of battle was overdone in places. Kaladin the fucking stormblessed is an amazing soldier and tactician but Stormfather he can be dense half the time. Dalinar Kholin was insanely difficult to relate to at first.

3. Can everyone shut up about the shardplates and shardblades for one moment?!

What I liked: EVERYTHING else. Massive enterprise, epic world-building, death defying actions, the unusual magical system of Roshar, the layers upon layers of lores and mythos and mystery, lovely use of tropes into things not so typical, the nods towards rampant racism, oppression, sexism and religious aggression, multi-tiered storytelling, and the mastery of misdirection. The big three, although initially often not relatable, finished their arc beatifically and redeemed themselves in my book. I was completely blindsided by the endings, which, undoubtedly, is Sanderson's forte. He has crafted his own space and is currently the most remarkable man in fantasy.

In conclusion, loved the book, very much recommended, will start the sequel.

P.S.: We need more Hoid. The Wit was the best thing in this book.

P.P.S.: Please tell me Sadeas will suffer. He has to.

The fact that I spent 45 hours 32 minutes and 59 seconds of my life on this..... I am thoroughly impressed by myself *pats self on the back*

Interesting but not exciting

I think that's the best way that I could describe my feelings and general experience on this one

This is the first Graphic Audio audiobook I’ve listened to so far and it was pretty good. I think it helps that it’s one of my favorite books though. My really only complaint is some of the voice actors feel off. I loved the narrator, but some of the characters just felt off. Like the emotions in their voice didn’t match the words. And some odd accent choices. Some I liked a lot like Dalinar others like Kaladin I did not like so well. I think I’m gonna listen to at least the first two Stormlight books like this but we will see.
