What the fuck did I just read?

If I had ANY indication that the book was going to take the turn it did, it would have been a haaaaaard pass.

So I’ve had a few hours to let my mind stew and go over what I just read and to be honest, I’m still not convinced about everything that happened in this book happened.

Did any of that make sense? No, it didn’t but once you finish this book you’ll understand why. I can’t even put into words what this book did to me without giving away spoilers and I need you to go into this book knowing nothing about it. I did.

I had so many theories and speculations about where this book was gonna go but I was so out of left field it’s not even funny. Normally I pride myself in being able to guess the ending to most books I read but this book bamboozled me time and time again.

This book is amazing, the twists and turns make your head hurt but in the best way possible. It leaves you wanting more even after you’ve finished.

This book is an absolute mindfuck. I loved every minute of reading it but it left me like huh? It took me exactly 3hours to read as I just couldn't put the book down once I started it.

Did NOT disappoint!! The way I cried when chapter 29 started. Then squealed at the end of chapter 32. Then gasped when the Epilogue started! This book had it all. Such fun banter and humor, love, anguish, surprises and the bonus spicey spice!!

DNF. I made it through Part I which was romantic and steamy and fun to read. But I knew going into it that it was a wildly emotional book and so I assumed that Part I meant we peaked early in this book. Then I was high-key hormonal and knew I couldn’t withstand reading something heartbreaking. After finally noticing the Author’s Note at the end of the book description on GR that this is not a romance and not an HEA, I dug through all the spoilers and decided to call it quits.

“There exists a field, beyond all notions of right and wrong. I will meet you there.”

• Thoughts:
I went into this book blind. I just knew the two main characters were strangers. Lol. Olivia is an author. James is an artist. They both happen to be in Paris and form a stranger with benefits arrangement. No personal information. Just spicy time. Both James and Olivia have secrets and tragedy in their lives. I personally love they are entering a physical relationship, but within a few days, they know and are lying to themselves that their physical is crossing the line to emotional and mental connection.  But not everything is as it appears...... (ominous music) This book quickly grabbed my attention, and it did not let go. I was so captivated by the storyline and trying to piece together the mystery. I loved James and Olivia and their connection. JT has this way about her writing that is finaminal. Another great book!! I personally feel you should go into this book blind. I think you would get more joy out of it. It was excellent. And the twists!! My hell. JT is excellent at her plot twists.

Narrator Thoughts:
Veronica Pace, Troy Duran, and Maryne Young are casted and in this duet style narration.  They were INCREDIBLE!!!!! they voiced these characters perfectly. The emotions you felt from each voice actor. I was in love from the very beginning. 10 out of 10!!

OH.MY.GOODNESS! If I've learned anything from the 2 J.T. Geissinger books I've read, it is do NOT expect a traditional HEA, and prepare for some emotional rides. I read Pen Pal and was in shock, and now this one... what can I say? Twisty, passionate, sexy, heart-wrenching, complex, all around full fledge feel ALL.THE.THINGS.

This is how I can review this one, I thought Pen Pal was good. THIS one, however, blew it out of the water in terms of writing, characters, emotions, etc.
