I really couldn't put this book down and enjoyed the tension throughout. I liked the dystopian world and the way it explored media, reality TV and parasocial relationships and lack of privacy and freedom for the stars of Snowglobe. Chobahm was a really good protagonist and I enjoyed seeing how she got sucked into the comfortable life in Snowglobe even though she had her doubts when she witnessed Cha Seol essentially commit murder or found these weird things happening in the city. She really got sucked in by the temptation and I somehow liked how realistic that felt for her. I wish the book had taken some more time to develop her character growth in the last part. It felt a bit rushed because even though the timeframe is definitely enough for her to evaluate what has happened and how she feels now, most of this happens off-page and it's a bit jarring when she suddenly decides she wants to reveal the whole secret. That's my only major criticism, though. The ending felt a bit confusing, but overall I liked this book a lot

Coup de cœur

Interesting concept. It reminds me of my favorite book series growing up.

I haven't read a good dystopia in a long time, this was a very welcome change from most of my reads in the last few years. If you like k-dramas, sci-fi, or otherwise dystopian stories, this is a great book to pick up.

Also, ignore my read dates: it's something you can finish in a few hours if you get uninterrupted time.
