A page turner, felt fresh although it's inline with some of the classics. Couldn't put it down. Seems like it was getting ready for a sequel at the end, although many of the main plot points were wrapped, so it felt satisfactory.

This was a great and fresh-feeling YA novel. I thought the plot was interesting and engaging, and I liked the characters especially the ones that were definitely lesbians though they were not officially lesbians. It was a fun read, and I recommend for a cool, dystopian YA fic that doesn't feel like a recycled 2010s bestseller. I thought the subplot about was wildly overlooked?

I really wanted to like this! It’s right up my alley: dystopian YA with hints of Snowpiercer. I think having to read a translated version made the writing quality worse than I wanted, and as far as plot I think it tried to add too many elements (a mysterious phone call, mirrors that serve as portals, people sneaking around in disguises, a lockbox with a shocking reveal, a folder with an even more shocking reveal…) I wish it had stayed a little more simple and dived into the world building aspect of an inhabitable wasteland powered by energy, with a dome of people who trade privacy for comfort.

Une dystopie glacante qui m'a tenue en haleine jusqu'au bout ! J'ai littéralement posé le livre à deux reprises à cause de plot twists très bien menés, et ça veut tout dire. Je suis pas 100% convaincue par l'écriture, mais j'étais tellement happée dans l'histoire que je suis passée outre. Juste la fin par contre ????? C quoi ça encore
