The classic book about the Titanic and her sinking. New information makes it somewhat outdated, but still a great read.

I will always appreciate books like this. So well plotted out to show the individual stories in a linear order. Such a harrowing tale, but so fascinating.
dark informative sad

Fascinating minute by minute recounting of the sinking of the Titanic from several viewpoints of survivors. I couldn't put it down. The movie of the same name that was made from this book is also highly recommended.

emotional informative sad fast-paced

First published in 1955, this is a nonfiction, minute-by-minute account of the sinking of the Titanic, which details the actions and conversations of passengers and crew based on historical records. It's an excellent account, capturing the atmosphere and emotions of that terrible night. It also details the many failures that cost so many lives and how things changed to prevent a tragedy like this from ever happening again.

What a great and comprehensive narrative of the Titanic’s final night. The author did his research well and the story itself is very easy to follow. Plus, the topic was handled with care and grace.
