Lovely gentle story. I think I a sucker for these ranch romance novels. The hero was surly, large man who fell hard for the gentle, hardworking heroine. I’ve read this type of plot before but I think this book worked.
The heroine backstory was perhaps more flushed out than I expected which put the book over the edge. I also think the lack of other distracting mini plots helped. There was no murder, no mystery, no weird plot twists. A simple straight love story told with grace. An old but a good one.
