A great middle grade graphic novel memoir in the vein of Raina Telgemeier. Kathryn Ormsbee hits on a lot of topics that middle grade readers will relate to and feel less alone. It can also help them know when it might be time to get help. The art was also great, making this something middle grade readeres will be drawn to on the shelf.

This cute middle grade graphic does a wonderful job of taking on the changes in friendships as you grow and change as well as dealing with anxiety as a young person. I think this book will help many young people put a name to the invasive thoughts they may have. I hope it will also open up the conversation of mental health in our young people. I highly recommend it for all.

Really enjoyed this! This memoir features the author's coming to terms with OCD and anxiety, dental drama, and rocky friendships. It's very rare to see a narrative from someone who was homeschooled, and this one wasn't negative. I remember having the same awkward weird feeling of wanting to avoid telling other kids you were homeschooled lol. The illustrations also fit and aided the story well.

Very good! The art is beautiful, rich of color, and the illustrations of OCD and anxiety were spot on. The illustration of her fear worked so well with the narration and writing style to convey the story. I wish it was longer; maybe seeing the therapist and a hopeful note before ending or talking about what the therapist said that helped her, but maybe that felt too private and she wanted people to be inspired to find a mental health professional . I actually wanted more of Katie and her life! It was a good story (pacing, dialog, characterization, and diversity were great) and I'm so glad there's more representation out there; a character with OCD can really help others especially the age group of middle schoolers. Wonderfully done!
