I really enjoyed this book about a girl who was forced to be anything but for her entire life. It was exciting and thrilling and dramatic and sad. A great YA thriller about a smart girl who finally becomes herself.

I found parts of this novel slow to read, but the more I read, the more I enjoyed it. I wish the character's backstory came first, instead of alternating between the present-day chapters, because I found it hard to keep track of what each girl's story was.

Despite all of this, I really liked a lot of aspects of this story; the LGBTQ+ representation, endometriosis awareness, and an intriguing protagonist. The opening sentence was gripping too!

A great read.

i loved this book so much. if you’ve read aftg, think neil josten as a bisexual teenage girl in a bank heist. i read the entire book in two sittings and i’m so upset that i finished it, some of the twists had me literally screaming wtf - the found family is literally <33, and iris is actually the new love of my life istg i want to give her a hug :,) im petitioning for a sequel thanks. pls read it i’m crying.

This is honestly my new favorite book. I loved the story and all the characters are so cool. I appreciated the short chapters and loved the overall set up of the book (having the time, the tools, different color pages for the flashbacks, etc.). I thought the mix of writing styles worked really well and helped me to read for longer periods of time. What really elevated this book to god-tier status was the last three pages — the resources & hotlines and the note on endometriosis. Tess Sharpe has written a thrilling and emotional book and has taken great care in doing so.

This book surprised me in a really good way and I think
I never read anything like that. The writing is so
stimulating, it makes you want to read nonstop, the
chapters are easy to go through because they're short
and with clean writing even though it brings heavy
subjects. I loved how each character had a backstory of
their own and how it makes them perfect together.
liked their dynamic so much and their dialogue and the
way Nora narrates the whole book. The conclusion
really felt like the ending and it made justice to Nora's
own story and the book itself.

So I kinda unexpectedly loved this!? It has everything I could want: a fun twisty heist, an epic gay scammer morally grey protagonist, emotional found family… um yeah!!!
