I could not put this book down. I read it all in one sitting and I really really enjoyed it. It’s a bank robbing thriller with a lot of subplot. I found myself so curious about what was going to happen next. It was extremely fast paced, well written, and a phenomenal thriller. -.25 because there are pieces that felt hella unrealistic but it added to the story and all came together well in the end.
Nora, her ex Wes, and new girlfriend Iris all walk into the bank to deposit fundraiser money together in the morning expecting a few moments of awkwardness and some potential hostility about the whole ex and new girlfriend situation, but instead are met with a bank robbery. Little do the 2 men doing the robbing know, Nora is no ordinary hostage. Nora may not even be Nora, she’s had a lot of other names before. She is the daughter of a con artist and grew up helping her mother run long cons on rich men for money. And one of those me , makes her a very valuable hostage to have. As she uncovers more about her past to make herself useful, she must also deal with the consequences of revealing all of these truths to her two best friends that are there with her. She must navigate this while also trying to keep all of them alive and valuable enough to the two robbers.
