Definitely a middle grade book or early high school. The prose is engaging and feels true to teen emotion. Anne Hathway's reading is fantastic. I don't love diary formatting but that's a personal preference

When I was a teenager I read all of the princess diaries books, and honestly I think I like this one even more as an adult. I listened to the audiobook over the past few weeks before I went to bed and it was so fun and intriguing and Mia is SO likable and while she does make dumb teenage decisions, they’re not usually in the cliche way I expect, and it was really refreshing!

I remember some of the big plot points but a lot of the details have been lost to time, so this should be a fun adventure!
