This is honestly the best book I have ever read. It can get a little bit emotional and there are some rather violent murders in the book for readers that don’t like gore, although there are only about 2 gruesome descriptions. This book is full of juicy plot twists and interesting characters (some of them animals.) that keep the story moving at a good pace. In the beginning of the book, there are many confusing things that seem to be introduced at random, but there are several eureka 💡 moments in the book that make it all make sense.

Minor: Fire/Fire injury, Gun violence, Panic attacks/disorders, and Sexual content
Although the bad things mentioned above are…bad, things book has very few and far between mentions, so I believe this book is still perfect for middle grades, myself being one of them.
