If you want to read about a sweet, patient, generous, rich man that is the first to fall for the strong female character ( who has some growth and development as well), this is for you. This was more plot driven than romance driven, which is certainly not a complaint. The conflict was irritating though and felt so incredibly repetitive. However, miscommunication was avoided - the couple actually talked it out. Imagine that. Romances are either 1, 3, or 5 for me. So abysmal, good, or absolutely perfect. This one is pretty good. I enjoyed it.

I would give this book a solid 3.5/5 stars- it wasn't bad for a romance after the last one I read which I did NOT like.

One of my biggest complaints about the book was that London could not seem to get over the school rivalry that she had with Drew from...literally high school. Granted, we learn why in the book, but the repetition of this point on her end got tiresome to read. Additionally, I felt as though the book didn't really develop the romance between the characters outside of their steamy moments that started ~30 pages in and didn't really end. There were two or three moments I can recall off the top of my head, but I wish that had been developed more so we could have seen more of London and Drew's chemistry outside of sex.

However, London was a really strong FMC and I'm biased because she's a kickass pediatric surgeon in her final year of residency which was crazy admirable to me. Also, loved her friends and how they had weekly girl nights on Fridays...it reminded me of my own friends from home lol. Also, Drew was such a loveable MC and he fell first (!!) which I always love to see. He was humble, which sharply contrasted with the previous novel I had read.

This was my second book by Farrah Rochon (the first one being Almost There), and I would say it's good for a quick read!

3.5 stars - loved the tone and banter, but it felt a bit long. More thoughts soon!
