Cute little book about a boy who lives on the streets of Paris. Lovely writing - becoming a fan of Rundell!

I thought it was a nice book with unusual adventures in the aim of saving two women from being homeless from danglers. I felt the ending was a bit rushed and Mercedes had just left in the end all of a sudden. Matteo was my favourite as he was brave and fearless. The girls in the tree were very funny and Mercedes came across to me as very intelligent. A good read overall for a short read.

An enjoyable short story about a group of children who live on the roofs of buildings in Paris and how they help a pair of homeless ladies, whilst foiling the plans of a dastardly thief.

A quick read, longer chapters make for a perfect "one-chapter-a-night" bedtime story. We enjoyed this book as a follow on to Rooftoppers. A good read and a keeper for the bookshelf.

Reading a Rundell book is like embracing a warm hug. Her voice, her stories, are SO good for the soul. And I always come away with a sense of my inner child wonder rekindled. (It was also utterly joyous to step back into the world of Rooftoppers.) Rundell is one of the greatest children's writers in my eyes. A classic. A genius. And certainly one of my biggest inspirations.

Prequel to Rooftoppers, how the rooftop children came together to help one of them.
