Ok I absolutely adored this book. I mean I knew I loved Elle Kennedy’s books. But I forgot just how amazing they are. Mac and Copper’s story is full of up and downs and is just so beautiful. This book gave me After meets Outer Banks and it was the best thing ever. Mac is an absolute badass. This girl doesn’t take nothing from nobody and it’s just amazing. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Have fun reading 🥰

A fluffy and fun read with really good pacing… until the ending. Oof. That was less of a gradual slow down and more of a full speed crash into a brick wall. An epilogue wouldn’t have gone amiss.

And while I enjoyed the book, it felt VERY white. For a story that focuses on the conflicts between the rich and the working class, I’m shocked that the cast was so painful homogeneous.

It’s my first Elle Kennedy read and it was WAY better than I expected. In my experience, « steamy » rhymed with « cringy », so my expectations for an interesting story was a bit low. I was pleasantly surprised. I could’ve read this book in one sitting. There are so many characters and they are all fun to follow and complexed. The love story is predictable, but not too much. The steamy bits are well balanced as well. Well done!

This is a very good first book for the series. Already added the second one in my TBR.
