I just love DM and her books. I just love This saga, the characters and the stories, and this is just another good one on the line. Reading these books, one after the other, is just like coming home. A safe one, and a funny one too. Good job author!

I just loved Bailey, she is different from the other ladies as she is a widow and really has given so much up while she cared for her late husband and unfortunately when thing go bad for her the go really bad. She really doesn't want any help and is happy to go along in her now isolated life but Dakota is having nothing of it and starts to show her she is no longer alone in this world. It was great to see more of the other as this book was based at home and I freaking loved to get to know and see Alfred even more! There were some great twists ad plenty of tense moments as well as some tender ones that had me hooked. I really hope Alfred gets to be a Hero for Hire one day after getting to know him more :D

This is an honest review for The Assassin's reading reviewing group.

Great story, I haven't read the others in this series so I need to go back and learn about the other characters. I'm a fan of her other series, so great variety in this author's writing.
This was an action packed romance with plenty of feels. I got teary several times, in public on the train no less.
Bailey and Dakota made a great couple, nothing was rushed and there was plenty of drama happening. I enjoyed their relationship evolving until they couldn't deny it any longer. Good old fashioned heroes and their women and family atmosphere. I loved this book and highly recommend it.

Dakota Languor works for a business that’s more like family than a plain old day-to-day job. You can tell how much he cares for the people he works with. Bailey Hoskins shows the toll a personal tragedy can take on someone. I went through something similar and can understand what she went through. Both of them are stubborn but Dakota’s stubbornness is a good thing.

What I love about this series is that each one can be read as a standalone. So if for some reason you’ve missed a book you can pick it up later and not feel lost. Dakota shows how the company has grown so that may be one incentive to catch up before many more books for this series come out. If you love military reads that may be another incentive to give this series a try.

In this book, I wanted to know more about how Bailey got to be where she is and how she’s going to fit in with the group that make up Legendary Security. You want to know more about what makes this group tick. How they came to be and how well they work together as a team. There’s no way that you can’t miss how much they care. It’s all about good versus evil and good must win or at the very least make a dent.

Romance is nice and that’s what I’m all about but with this series I’d rather have the action, adventure, and suspense any day. I want to see how these people go about protecting each other and those that they let into their little group – which grows with each subsequent book. There’s a character, Alfred, who tends to stay in the background but he’s the glue when the group is together. Just a warning though – when Bailey ends up helping Alfred in the kitchen plan to get hungry. I could almost smell what she was cooking – ending up making my stomach growl so I had to get something to eat to get it to stop. So you see, the book has a little bit of everything that will keep you entranced. The ending was happy but what made me happy is the fact that the Epilogue gets me ready for the next book in the series.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
