So cute! I loved these neurodivergent lesbian soccer players! I really enjoyed the way their relationship unfolded and how much they stuck up for each other. It was really great. Wilsner is such a good writer.

it was soooo good! i love slow burn romances and ik that the miscommunication trope isn’t for everybody but i personally like it as long as they both secretly like each other and get together like they did in the end. i also found both the characters sort of relatable in different ways and i think that although the background characters don’t pop up too much they were pretty well written as well. And as a soccer player they didn’t completely butcher the game lol which is refreshing! A great read for anybody looking for a lesbian romance with a bit of smut, comedy, fluff and angst!

Sapphic soccer romance + teammates with benefits + grumpy & sunshine!
Grace, who’s lost her love for the game, is sidelined from the women’s national soccer team with an injury.
Phoebe, a jokester who plays the game with so much joy, fills in.
As the World Cup approaches, they become teammates with benefits, but a miscommunication leaves them with different perspectives on their relationship.

I played soccer in high school so I always love a soccer romance, and even better when it’s a queer soccer romance!
I was hesitant going into this one because I’ve previously DNF’d a book by this author. But I’m so glad I gave this one a chance because I loved it!
I loved the real life soccer references, loved that a quote by Megan Rapinoe was used at the beginning, and loved all of the soccer on page.
I loved both Grace & Phoebe, their dynamic, and their character growth throughout the book.
I loved both the ADHD & autism rep. While Grace’s autism wasn’t overly talked about, Phoebe’s ADHD was a journey and I loved seeing it unfold.
I also loved the cast of side characters and how many of them are queer, along with the humor & depth they added to the story.
