A genuinely impressive book that surprised and excited me.

Quincy's Final Girls are comprised of three, majorly smart victims. No not victims. Survivors. Quincy Carpenter, Lisa Milner and Samantha Boyd are standout, independent, strong female characters that thrill the reader.

Like it's ~fine. There was a twist at the end I didn't see coming. I enjoyed it for what it was, even though The Final Girl Support Group was tighter and had better pacing and, in general, understood its relationships better.

3.5 stars for this one. I'm on the fence because I did like so much about it, but I'm left feeling weirdly meh about the experience as a whole. I think the big twist was pretty satisfying, but I didn't like some of the red herrings getting there.

Nothing really kept me drawn to this book other than the will to finish it. Not the worst but not great.
You can tell a man wrote it, which I think says enough about certain scenes and characters.

I legitimately could not stop reading this. I wanted to know what Quincy could not remember. I wanted to know who was Sam Boyd. I wanted to know who killed Lisa. I wanted to know if Jeff was bad. I wanted to know who had killed all of Quincy's friends. It was captivating and the twist really got me. I never thought it was that person. I never saw it coming. I was shocked and that's what I love about thrillers and mysteries. I love the surprise. The descriptions in the book did sometimes creep me out, which is exactly what you want in such a suspenseful book. I could picture it all. HIGHLY recommend!

Captures the feeling of a slasher movie while subverting a ton of familiar tropes.  Keeps you guessing and makes sure you never know what to believe.  I didn’t love all of the twists, but I also can’t say I saw them coming.
