Definitely something different. I'm not generally a big Alice in Wonderland person, but when @comicswithjesse from IG told me I had to read it, I rolled my eyes and went into my LCS and picked it up.
Short version, yes it's drugs.
Longer version, what is going on with her family?
And is it through the looking glass, or into the asylum?
Guess we'll find out. Either way I'm interested to see.
I need to make sure this is on my pull list/subscription.

I can’t wait for part 2 of this book to see what happens I also think that it makes sense that Alice is taking drugs in order for her to be able to go to wonderland in this book. Although it makes me wonder where the author got the idea to have Alice take the drugs was it from the controversy over the original author supposedly taking drugs while writing Alice in wonderland? I also liked the fact that the author used the cats as narrators through out the comic.

Wow. This book was intense. A very interesting take on Alice and a dark one. I enjoyed the design so much. I found it a bit confusing but overall enjoyable!

I loved this! This was a spectacular, dark retelling of Alice in Wonderland. I really enjoyed the story and the artwork. I found how the illustration style changed as Alice went to Wonderland to really add to the experience. It was a little odd that the cats helped tell Alice’s story, but I didn’t hate it. Overall, this was a nice start to the series and I can’t wait to see where the story goes from here.

I'm not sure what to rate this because it was so short! But the art was fun and the story intrigued me I just need to read more to really see what I feel. And it was Alice So of Course I LOVED that. Excited to read the rest of these eventually!

I wanted to love this because I love Alice in Wonderland retellings, especially when they have a horror twist! Unfortunately, though, this was one of those cases where being dumped into the middle of the story had a negative impact: it felt strongly to me that there should have been more build-up to the scenes in this issue, or even flashbacks to explain how we got here a bit better. Perhaps I wasn't patient enough, but I found myself bored and a little lost, so that didn't help matters any.
