Before I started reading, I thought The Start of Me and You was going a be a lighthearted fun Young Adult book. It’s actually a emotional and inspiring story with a lot depth.
- I loved Paige and Max together. They became friends but didn’t reveal their feelings for each other even they it was so obvious. Ugh, it’s so good! They are both nerdy and funny. The epilogue of emails at the end was a pleasant surprise.
- Paige, Tessa, Morgan, Kayleigh, Ryan, and Max are such a great group of friends. It was so heartfelt to see how supportive they were of each other. My new favorite book group of characters.
- I liked a lot of quotes from this book, especially at the end of the chapters.
- the focus of the story was Paige truly living a full life, with all it has to offer and the people she loves. Falling in love was a bonus!
- Although I actually haven’t read Emery Lord’s other books, I did recognize an Easter egg from one of them.
