Habe die letzten 60 Seiten einfach nur noch überflogen. Es war einfach viel zu viel Vorgeschichte und zu viel unnötiger Text. Das Cover suggeriert ja eindeutig einen Roadtrip, aber der geht erst bei Seite 404 los. Der Schreibstil selbst ist echt nicht schlecht aber es war viel zu langatmig.

Waste of time. I was so infuriated by the poor editorial work and misspellings that the otherwise delightful meditations on passion and ambition could not redeem the book in the end. What’s more, it’s a picaresque novel dressed up as a story told in the linear style, culminating in a narrative wild goose chase that bears a shocking resemblance to Little Miss Sunshine. A disappointment of fiction.
