Este libro contiene unos relatos que tienen como protagonista al detective tan famoso Sherlock Holmes. Es uno de sus libros más aclamados y es que cuenta con unas historias muy entretenidas y sorprendentes.

Entre estas tengo que destacar Escándalo en Bohemia y El misterio del valle Boscombe. Las dos me parecieron muy jugosas y con un final que no esperaba en absoluto. A parte de eso tengo que destacar lo fabulosos que me han parecido tanto Sherlock como Watson. Son unos personajes sumamente carismáticos y que se hagan el cariño del lector.

Las descripciones y ambientación en ese Londres de finales del siglo XIX son maravillosas. Y es que me parece que cualquier historia que se sitúe en la época Victoriana me vuelve loca. Arthur Conan Doyle tiene una pluma y una forma de narrar sublime, te mantiene atrapado y enganchado a sus páginas.

Además esta bellísima edición cuenta con unas ilustraciones que acompañan muy bien a esta enigmática lectura. Estoy deseando seguir leyendo más casos de Sherlock porque sé que los disfrutaré muchísimo. ¡Espero no tardar mucho en hacerlo!

Classic Conan Doyle stories.  After you've read a few, you know what is coming (not that that means you can figure out the mysteries).  They are to some degree formulaic, but they are a fun read.

i really liked those short stories much more than the novels. i think connan doyle is a good author when it comes to mysteries and sometimes humour, but his characters, apart maybe from holmes himself, often lack depth and seem very repetitive (very contrary to christie's, which are what make her novels so very engaging i think).
