I’ve been meaning to read this since I watched the movie (and loved it) last year. I’m usually very careful not to watch something before reading the book, but I didn’t realize that this was a book until after I’d seen it. I’m kicking myself over it, though, because the book and movie were quite different...I’m wondering if the movie combined multiple books to create a more complex storyline? This is one of the few instances where I definitely preferred the movie to the book. Enola is a more fun and wild character in the movie, whereas in the book it was very clear that she is just a child (fair enough). The movie also did Lord Tewkesbury many favors, because in the book I found him incredibly annoying. It was a quick, fun read, though!
Happy ending meter (no specific spoilers, just the general vibe of the ending):Happy!
