It feels petty being so specific but I give this one 3.8 stars!

This was so good n I enjoyed it from the beginning and oh my gosh Edan was to die for!

If you are looking for that “I’d never date him” kind of story this is the one for you!

Gosh! Elizabeth Lim has such a beautiful way of telling stories. They feel so cozy and warm but still hit you hard in the heart.

A very strong start to this duology, I can’t wait to read Book 2. It better not hurt me like Her Radiant Curse did 😭
~Speaking of, her subtle connections between this series and SCC are fascinating! I’m intrigued to discover how her new release A Forgery of Fate is connected as well.

This book was just kinda boring. The whole thing where
the two were sick in a desert (and other perilous situations) together
was giving powerless except executed worse.
the romance went from "we're not even friends" to "i love you more than anything" waaay too fast.
in the book I know it was a few months so maybe, maybe it's reasonable, but reading it feels like it's leaning towards insta-love or whatever that trope is called (which I hate btw). Also, don't come after me for this, but I'm a Maia hater through and through. Like girl you can make better decisions you just choose not to. Also she was very meh. ... everyone was very meh. That's it ig

3.5 star. It was a good book but felt too long at moments.
