The Enders’ Shadow series is one of my all-time favs and so far I have enjoyed anything Ender’s Game related that I’ve read. Somewhere I just feel out of this book and have struggled for a year+ with wanting to pick it up but never actually being in the mood for it. I am just accepting that this is currently not something I’m finishing. I think if I ever want to re-read this pre-qual series then I will probably get to finishing this book. But until then… I’m accepting that it’s not something I’m interested in reading right now.

Best read by those with a healthy capacity for suspending disbelief. These books do not match their predecessors.

It was good but some parts dragged on which is not unlike Scott orsen card. This one was better than the first two because it actually had an ending that closed the story with an epilogue with potential for another book.

Not one of his best in the series, but still a delicious read, with characters and a world I care about more with each book. Few things compare to the sadness you feel when you realize there's no more to read in this series.

I'm honestly just ready to be done with the Enderverse. Like this was kinda entertaining, moreso than some of the other books, but it wasn't my favorite. I think I should've spaced out this series more, I probably would've liked the Enderverse more had I not read like 15 back to back books of it.

The latest installment to the Ender universe, Earth Awakens does a good job of continuing the canon and expanding the lore surrounding the Formics and the events leading up to Ender’s Game.
Johnston and Card flesh continue to flesh out the characters well, all while allowing us to understand how the IF and Mazer Rackham come to be. It’s a really good story, though even I, an Ender evangelist, am starting to think of these books as just ways of helping the Card family go on vacation at this point. The ending left the traditional opening for more books, and I’m not sure I’ll bother, though I’m sure they’d be enjoyable as well.
