Emotional. Beautiful. Incredible. An absolute must read. While heart wrenching at times, Five Little Indians is a powerful and must-read novel to deepen an understanding of some lived experiences of Residential School survivors in Canada.

The book as a whole is pretty good it helped me gain a farther understanding of what it was like to indigenous people after residential school but I do have to that, the book is kinda jumpy in the time line like this happened oh now its a year later kind of thing. The characters there was some character development mainly at the end and some were more developed than others.

Such an important story for all to read. However, the writing itself is very telling and less showing. We don’t get a deep development of characters as the text itself is rushed. The content is deeply reflective and essential for all humans to know and understand.
