As a forensic psych nurse, I enjoyed this book. It was relatable given that I work with similar patients who have committed some pretty terrible crimes. Even with my experience, I did not see the ending coming. This book has reminded me to really be aware of my surroundings at work. This author really paints a picture of what it's like working with patient with psychiatric disorders- unpredictable. The setting of the storm, the tower being minimally accessible, away from society is great symbolism for the way we look at pysch patients, like they need to be removed from the public, and that they dark and twisty, sometimes scary. I highly recommend this book.

I really enjoyed the Perfect series and was looking forward to this stand alone but couldn’t get into this at all, I liked the last 20/30% but not that much, won’t put me off the author but I’m in no rush to read anymore at the minute.

This book had “Emily” written all over it. I didn’t want to put it down. The last 100 pages had me in a chokehold. I loved the twists, I didn’t predict any of the plot and the characters were deeply disturbing and creepy. I wish this existed as a movie too. A female lead, a murder, psychopaths, a locked door crime—I have no complaints. Looking forward to reading more by this author.
