thought-provoking and reflective. i felt like i was on a journey with nair and this book of poems was a window into his travels. i was hovering over his shoulder when he talks to the girl at the laundromat, i was sitting in the bus looking at the man who was blinded by the headlights, i was standing outside the temple, watching the way the light falls into it. some of the tales he tells humble me and makes me aware of my privilege. some are quite a punch in the gut. i really enjoyed this glimpse into his mind -- he seems to be someone who's deeply introspective and has quite interesting thoughts.
