Great story! A little long but I don’t mind. The pages are surprisingly sturdy. My son isn’t a fan but this is my page so I’m giving it the full 5 stars!
Great character development. The illustrations are engaging 10/10 recommend to every dump truck loving pal in your life

This is one of my kid's favorites and one of my favorites to read to my kids. We love this whole series. The characters are cute, and the storyline is clever. I love the rhyming words and construction theme throughout the story. Excellent book for reading to young boys (or girls).
This was a nice read that names each construction site machine and goes through their tasks, using rhyming text and some repetition. It has great pictures that will appeal to toddler and preschool kids. If reading to a group of toddlers, it might be a bit too long for their attention spans, but if you focus on the pictures, you can definitely capture some of the lagging attention.
It's a nice little story and I liked it well enough though i wasn't wowed by it, so I'd give it 3 stars for "like". But I thought the art was phenomenal...so I'd give that 5 stars, hence the rating averaged out to be 4 stars.
When your child is fixated by any manner of construction equipment or large truck, this book is the best. As the construction site shuts down for the day, so do the machines doing the dirty work--they all go to sleep. Each one has it's own personality, which is adorable. And the rhyming, while at times expected and repetitive, mostly feels fresh and fun. It's well written and the illustrations are perfect.
This book will quickly become a nighttime favorite in your household! My boys love trucks and saying goodnight to beloved trucks and diggers one by one is a blast for them. When they see crane truck donning his nightlight and excavator curling up, they too feel calmed and ready for bed.

Great book except all the construction vehicles are boys. Why? I routinely mix it up and replace the male pronouns with female pronouns. It would give it 5 stars except that. No reason to be so traditionally gendered.
Elliott got this for his birthday. Great story that teaches about construction vehicles and helps us settle down in the evening.
I loved the unique layout. The vocabulary is a little technical but great for learning minds especially if they love construction machinery.
