This story was shorter than I expected. Half of me wishes it was longer, and the other half thinks it ended when it should have. Was a shame Toby had to go so soon but atnleast everything wrapped up well :)

Me after turning the very last page in the train:

I have no words for this, so I'll use Toby's: Brilliant.

"I shut the book and shoved it in my backpack. Then I slid the pack under the seat in front of me. I stared out the window for the rest of the journey. Building, tree, car, car, van, wall, vacant lot, van. I stared hard trying to find a pattern. Thinking if I kept looking hard enough, maybe the pieced of the world would fit back together into something I could understand."

This book was very emotional. I even cried at the end. Some parts of it were incredibly awkward to read but by the end I really liked the characters.

It’s hard for me to get on board with books written from a teenager’s perspective.

I need to start not finishing books I'm not enjoying. Reading it just ends up becoming a long slog and I don't enjoy it in the slightest
