Closer to 3 stars for me, but gave it 4 because I think that was more personal preference. Fun and well written, a good romantic comedy - I am just not a pranks person so didn't find their interactions as cute as I think was meant.

Also, the more I think about it, the less realistic I find the weight loss portion. I mean, going from city life to working all day on a farm... Losing a dress size should not have been nearly as hard as it was made out to be. And frankly, I would have been upset if my fiance HADN'T been checking in to see how it was going, not upset that he was asking.

Absolutely hilarious! This story immediately and completely captivated me, drawing me in with laughter, fantastic, relatable characters and witty inner dialogue. Two nights, I stayed up reading until 1 and 2AM. Could not put this book down! The pranks, the flirting, the farm life, the ridiculously sexy, confident MMC - um, yes to all of it!

While smiling my way through this book, I enjoyed the author's writing style/voice immensely, laughed-out-loud multiple times and felt deeply satisfied with the character's growth at the culmination of the story. I almost didn't want it to end. Can't wait for the next in this series!

A definite must-read!

CW & TW: pressure to lose weight/body image issues, 1-3 minor swear words, PG kissing/touching/flirting/innuendos, no alcohol, no violence, no religious content.

i loved this a lot. it was so much fun and made me laugh several times. i’m a sucker for childhood enemies to lovers and their banter was spot on. so glad she left the ass of a man made my blood boil with all the weight loss shit. i do wish i got more cade and kels after they got together bc it would’ve been amazing. other than that i loved the side characters too. fun fast read

DNF when the main character, after complimenting another woman's appearance, narrated that she "meant it, other than the fact she wore a bit too much makeup for such a pretty face". 🤮
