This is a marvellous piece of writing. Not one redundant word. Sharp, witty, touching, funny. I laughed sooo hard a couple of times, so if you want to embarrass yourself in public, go ahead and read it on public transport. ;)

Read it in one go even though I was tired. Hasn't happened in a while.

Unfortunately it is far too short. I could read a thousand pages of Emma Thompsonā€˜s point of view, thoughts, intelligence, unique emotionality, sense, and sensibility.

Emma Thompson is funny and does share some private moments from the set but it feels very 'written' and lacks the intimacy of a true diary. I suppose that's to be expected.

I think this would be an interesting read for someone wanting to know about the film are made as the processes are really spelled out for the reader.
