Oh this was good!
Even though it was a novella, it didn't feel rushed or unfinished. I would have loved this as a full-length novel to really get into the characters' psyche, their damaged relationship and how they go about repairing it.

The Christmas Blanket
A Second-Chance Holiday Romance
By: Kandi Steiner
Narrated by: Hannah Chiclana

Eliza has always had the wanderlust bug. Even after marrying her high school sweetheart, the day to day struggles in a small town just made her want to get out and see what else there was in the world. Now divorced, she is 4 years later to surprise her family for Christmas, but the surprise is on her!. When River sees her stuck on the side of the road in a blizzard, he takes her home. Now stuck in the cabin, with their dog and her ex-husband, Eliza finds out exactly the meaning of Christmas! Talk about good timing, Kandi Steiner's Christmas Blanket is the perfect present. It encompasses all the things I love, from second chances, being stranded together and best of all my favorite holiday! It's the kind of story you want to sit on the couch, cuddled up with some hot chocolate to enjoy. I loved River and Eliza and of course, Moose!

Hannah Chiclana brings out the holiday spirit in her narration of this gem. It's my first listen by her and she has a very pleasant voice. She emotes all the feelings and her voices are easily distinguishable. I will be watching for more of her performances.

I feel like no one does second chance romance like Kandi! I loved how cute this little novella was. It was everything I needed for a cute Christmas read!

I love her writing and this was no different for me! Such a cute short story. I loved both characters and how they each had a part in their original falling out. They worked it out beautifully. Such a sweet read. Although I did despise the sister!

It's official. I read my first Christmas book of 2020 on November 2nd. Shouldn’t Hallmark fine me?! It's not actually my fault though, so hold off on the ticket. Kandi Steiner started this and here's how I finish it.

Darn you, Kandi! I was not planning to cry before going to vote. I had no intentions of explaining the tear tracks on my face. Now I have to reassure my kids I'm not in physical pain and I'm actually happy.

The Christmas Blanket is the perfect kick off to the holiday season. It's a second chance at the one who got away but its so much more! Insecurities, doubt, and youth ruined something magical, now you can watch it be repaired.

Beautiful and heartwarming, The Christmas Blanket has the quintessential broody, strong, silent man to give your heart and panties too. Seems he might not be willing to take them since a certain someone is on his mind...

But you will love this Christmas romance regardless of whether or not River even knows you exist.
