This series is a spinoff of Billionaire Doms of Crash series. This wasn't something I was aware of as this was the first book by this author for me, but immediately as I started this novella I got the feeling that I was supposed to know who Landon was and what was his backstory.

Landon is a billionaire from Denver (in Russell's words "He owns a kink club, The Phoenix, with his business partners from his software company Crash.") who has bought a financially struggling horse ranch on a  whim with plans to transform it into a guest ranch for both kinky people and a wider audience. Russell is the only employee left on the ranch in charge of taking care of the horses.

There is an instant spark of an attraction between the two, which they initially ignore. But after a visit from Landon's friends, a group of Daddies with their Littles (or you know the characters from above mentioned series), Russell feels both excited and despondent as he is also a Little but being bigger and hairier he doesn't think anybody would ever want to be his Daddy.

An accident involving a sex toy brings the two men closer together, Russell's predicament brings out Landon's Daddy side and he can't help taking care of Russell as he's already his own Little. There is some kink negotiation then the story fast forwards a month into their relationship and official ranch opening.

While I enjoy reading about daddy kink on occasion reading this story made me realize that Daddy/Little age play, especially age play during sex, is not something I'm comfortable with.

My rating is not due to the kinky aspect of the story, but thanks to superficial characterizations, lackluster plot and Russell's inexplicable behavior at times as if he went out of his way to misunderstand things between him and Landon at almost every turn in their relationship.

Themes: dual POV, employer/employee, billionaire/cowboy, Daddy/Little, age play
