Another worthy entry in the intricate mythology that is the Charlie Parker series. Ostensibly detective novels with supernatural elements; these stories are always beautifully written, elegiac, and much better than they need to be.
Usually a big time fan of Connolly's novels. This one did not resonate with me for some odd reason.

Not a story I care much about. There were too many groups involved from this world and the next and some in between. The character of mother (Webb's wife) and Philip was not required.

I'm so sad I've caught up with this whole series... I cannot wait for another one. As always with this series: fast-paced, intricate web of stories, fabulous characters. A total page turner!
Rasanya ceritanya terlalu melebar kemana-mana. Beberapa bagian terasa kurang connect dengan cerita, bagian akhirnya pun terkesan berdiri sendiri-sendiri.
