I didn't think it was a guide for adulting but it wasn't a bad read, it was quick and simple, it kept me focus & entertain ! But I was wishing for a book that follows the self development story of the author (even if it was a bit of that!) It wasn't as deep as I thought it would be.
funny informative inspiring lighthearted fast-paced

My fault for picking a book sponsored everywhere I turn recently; Facebook, scribd, instagram so I gave it a whirl. This book was short which I'm thankful for because it was not good. I appreciated the cute artwork at the start of chapters. As for the advice; might be helpful for someone young 18-21 getting their grip in the real world, however not sure a youtuber is someone to take your advice from as that's how this book read "Here's how I do it" and not much more substance than that.

2.75/5 stars!! 😬

I have never watched Arden's videos and I knew nothing about her going into this book.

I would not describe this book as self help, but more semi biographical with general life advice thrown in. I really enjoyed hearing someone else talk about Trich and long distance relationships and I felt like I could connect with her. It felt like having a conversation with a friend as it was quite informal. The fact that I listened to this on audio and it was Arden who narrates the audiobook meant it made me feel like she was just chatting with me.

The book gave me a sense of it's ok to be me and still not have my shit together. A nice easy listen to book.

While this book is catered to YA, it’s actually a really cute listen/read for any 20-something year old who just feels misunderstood. It definitely made me feel less alone in some of the things that I feel or deal with

Navel gazing.
Boredom.

arden is one of my favorite youtubers, mainly for her wit, aesthetic, and humor. i really liked this book as well; her humor and insightful babbling really translated well onto every page, and i read basically the entire book in her voice which made the experience even more fun.

as a self-help book, it had a fair share of new, interesting tidbits that i was glad to learn, but majority of it was stuff you would already know beforehand. overall, i liked the book and i'd recommend it especially if you watch her videos (even if you don't / didn't, i still think this would be an enjoyable read). it really read more as a memoir than a self-help, how-to guide, but i'm not necessarily mad about it.

3.5/4.0 STARS
I'm too tired to write a review but this book was adorable. I know a lot of people had problems with it because the "advice" was generic and there were a lot of personal stories but...isn't that the point? I listened to it on audiobook which I think helped. Made the whole thing more relatable and funny.

I really enjoyed the first third of this book. It was funny and entertaining and I was enjoying my time listening to the audiobook. The middle portion was a bit bland and fell flat for me. So much time was spent talking about getting a good couch and that's when I started to get bored. The last bit of the book read more as a memoir then a self improvement book. A lot of the information provided was surface level and not very helpful. The last chunk of this book was interesting but not universally applicable. Hearing about Rose's experiences was interesting but felt almost out of place with what this book is supposed to be doing. Which brings me to the question of what is this book supposed to be doing? I genuinely don't know, it started off with giving tips about life and being an adult out in the world and quickly flipped to an almost stream of consciousness novel. I enjoyed the book enough to look into the author's youtube channel but that's mainly because I enjoyed the way she read the book and put her emotions into it. I do not think that I would have enjoyed it at all really had I read a physical copy.
