A quick read into the glimpse of professional ballet dancers (which I found fascinating) but also an exploration of remaking your life when a lifelong dream is no longer a possibility, of accepting an ordinary life when an extraordinary one was so close to reach, and the realization that even extraordinary lives turn ordinary.

Initial thoughts: I like HOW she wrote this book. The structure mirroring a ballet, flitting from scene to scene.

One of the best books I've read in a long time. The writing is superb.

So Joan is basically a terrible person. Well, not terrible, just totally and fully focused on herself. She's the center of the universe and everyone else orbits around her. Except Arsalan- he DGAF about her.
