Thank you NetGalley for this ARC!!

Okay!!! I loved this??? Not going to lie, I requested this because I thought it would just be a silly little read and then I got immediately hooked.

Luna was a fun character to see fleshed out. We get to see her go from fun party girl to someone who genuinely cares about her community and the work she's doing. And Oliver… listen I love a grumpy male lead. And I loved getting to know him and see him slowly open up around Luna and his family before catching himself and closing back up.

The family dynamic in this was adorable. I loved the Musgrove family and how close they all were. I was also so in love with Claw Haven!! Ugh!! I will definitely be reading more of the Claw Haven series when it comes out!!

I do feel Luna's suddenly quick make up with her family felt off, but hey it was a year later in the epilogue so I can't be too upset. I would have loved maybe to touch on that a little bit more, Luna really explaining to her family the work she did in Claw Haven and how important it is to her. Ah but idk, its good without it too.

I loved the setting, I loved Oliver's family, and I loved the cast of characters that we meet in Claw Haven.

I do feel like we could have had a similar journey for Luna and Oliver without her being fully engaged to someone else, considering her family dynamic and her career growth had enough going on to be sufficient conflict. But I really enjoyed reading about them gradually growing together while navigating the difference between what was driven by their own feelings vs by the bond.

This was warm, funny, and just a little wild in the best way. Luna and Oliver start off completely at odds, but being stuck together brings out something softer in both of them. The magical bond adds tension, but it’s the quiet moments like shared breakfasts, awkward silences, and unexpected care that make it work. The small-town monster setting is charming without feeling too quirky, and the romance unfolds with just enough bite to keep things interesting. It’s a great pick if you like your love stories a little weird, a little grumpy, and full of heart.

"Are you sure? Californians don’t have the best luck on Claw Heaven roads in the winter." This line had me wheezing!

Thank you to Harlequin Publishing and Netgalley for the eARC!

Luna is a rich heiress who finds herself stranded in a snowy quiet monster town, Claw Haven. When she goes to an inn and meets the grumpy werewolf owner, Oliver, and they instantly don't hit it off. But things get complicated when she drinks the other half of a werewolf bond elixir and binds herself to Oliver in werewolf matrimony.

Overall I did like this book but I also had my negative critiques about it as much. It was cozy and chill. I liked the humor most of the time for what it is. The monster town sounded very wholesome and I liked it a lot.

I even liked the side characters a lot. Like the Musgrove pack and all their quirky pack members always creating lovable chaos. And the townspeople were so lovable and so small town with how much they were in everyone's business, but it's because they care!

What didn't gel with me much were unfortunately the main characters. I read on because I did like the concept of this book. But I couldn't exactly connect to the main characters too well. Nor did I feel too strong of a connection between them.

The heroine was a bit too too shallow and kind of annoying throughout. She did show some growth by the end but I just wanted to dig a little deeper. Another hang up of me regarding her that I didn't quite get was that she has a fiancé throughout the book. It is revealed early on they have an open relationship so that's why she immediately jumps into bed with Oliver, but I just think the execution or her fiancé in general for the plot was not necessary. Her fiancé was very laid back and really didn't add much.

But overall, this book was (pulling a page from Luna's book) *fun* for what it is. I liked it as much as I didn't like some stuff. It was overall *just okay*.

"No? What do I smell like?" / "Mine," he murmured.

Spoiled heiress Luna Stack is on her way to see her fiancé when her car breaks down, leaving her stranded in snowy Claw Haven, a cozy town full of monsters living the quiet life.

Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️

Destined for a warm and tropical vacation, heiress Luna finds herself stranded in cold and cozy Claw Haven, a safe place for monsters. Stuck staying at a run-down motel, a quick drink to dull her sorrows leads to her getting accidently married to Oliver - the gruff and closed-off owner of the inn.

I thought this was so fun! Luna and Oliver are total opposites, and see them thrown together by force (as their bond causes pain if they wander too far) made for such an entertaining read. The first chunk of the book has Luna grating on his nerves with how spoiled she is, though he is combative as well, as well as haunted with guilt from a past traumatic experience with his pack. They way they start to find common ground as they are stuck together, along with the smallest hints of reluctance and wondering as they look for the divorce flower needed to break their bond, had the pages flying by.

Something that may give pause to other readers is that Luna is engaged the whole time to her fiancé Hector - but with how he and their relationship is written (they have an Understanding, Hector is very carefree and isn't worried about her being there alone, etc.) it was not something that took away from the story for me.

🌹: Seeing the town welcome Luna was such a sweet moment, and the way she helps so freely as the story goes on warmed my heart. The bond was a really cool way to keep Luna and Oliver close, and I also loved the way it made their connections Very Interesting! Definitely interested in reading more about the town through the novellas!
🥀: I struggled to connect with Luna - her personality at the beginning leads to some really great character growth but it was such a rough start with how very spoiled and how Fun Fun Fun she is. I did appreciate her at the end! And I would have loved more world-building with the monsters/shifters in this world.

╰ 5☆ stars - A big thank you to Netgalley & Harlequin - Romance for providing me with this eARC!

I, truly, have nothing bad to say about this book. I loved every minute of it and ate it from start to finish.

Luna, my sweet heiress child, gets stuck in snowy Alaskan town where she meets werewolf and grump extraordinaire, Oliver. Mishaps ensue and they end up ceremonially bonded to one another by mistake.

When I tell you I am a sucker for forced proximity, I mean it. Boy, did this book deliver! Stuck in the same town together? Nope! More like stuck within a few feet from each other. This book does forced proximity in such a fun way that I haven’t seen before and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Also the grumpy x sunshine was so good. Especially when the sunshine FMC isn’t always sunshine because the MMC brings out the growls, angry side of her. Their dynamic was great and I found myself looking forward to their interactions because they were always amusing.

The overall cozy, fun vibes of this book were EVERYTHING and I could hardly put it down. I seriously enjoyed it so much and will be recommending it to everyone I know that needs a cute and fun romance book in their life.

At times Luna was slightly annoying because of how hard she was trying to be “fun” (and talking about her then-still fiancé, not the MMC, who also annoyed me, but that’s probably because I’m more black cat than golden retriever), but by the end, when she embraced being imperfect and not always “on” for others, I liked her a lot more. I loved her scheming to help fix up the town and get the PR in line to ramp up tourism. That was important to her development and showed the others (looking at you, Uncle Ray) that she wasn’t out to hurt the town or its residents. Overall, pacing was good, the characters had strong voices, and I did not notice any plot holes. It was a good cozy read with alternating POVs.
