While a very good comic in its own right, as someone who deeply appreciates the original film, I'm not sure if it lives up to the original. However, it is a different medium and it does justice to the film while adapting to the comic medium.

The best part about his book: the art! The story itself was okay, a great climax with a lacking resolve. But the art...WOW!

This was a very good adaptation of the classic Fritz Lang film and, in fact, I thought that this was a better presentation for the material. I liked reading this more than I liked watching the film. So yeah, I'd recommend this.

Visually arresting, and although I was pulled out from time to time by some of the anachronisms (or it may be an intentional a-chronicity) in the props and dress of the original photographs used as Muth's source material, there are some really great cinematic sequences and wonderfully atmospheric, cinematic frames and sequences here. I loved it but more than anything else, it made me want to rush back an watch the film again. EVERYbody should see Fritz Lang's M.

This was an interesting idea and well done, but - come on. You're just not going to improve on M. Which I now have to go watch again.
