This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free for a Blog Tour in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. This book was very different to how I expected it to be. it was definitely a lot more realistic than i was expecting.

I thought Ceri was an excellent character. I really felt for her. She has clearly affected by everything she's been through. she is a genuinely good person.

I thought Alex was  awesome. They are clearly meant to be together. I absolutely loved hearing his side of the story. I always find it great to see other people's perspective on things.

Seb and Sheena were excellent. I really liked how Ceri could feel how Seb felt, that they had this special twin bond. Being away from your best friends is hard. After university all my friends went back to their respective home towns and we don't get to see each other as much. Sometimes that can be a real strain on the relationship. I thought it was really great how even though Sheena is away a lot they never become distant.

For some reason I really don't trust Mark. I don't know what it is but I just have this feeling he's trouble. I'm worried he's taking advantage of her. Since reading Forbidden I trust Mark a lot more.

I thought Ethan's explanation of that was happening to Ceri was perfect. He clearly understood what was going on.

I'm looking forward to reading Forbidden as this book ended on a bit of a cliffhanger.

What's great about Linn B. Halton is, she's reliable. Whenever you pick up a Halton book like [[ASIN:B00AJNIM26 Never Alone]] you know that you're going to get an interesting and unique read. The angels series serves that up on a designer platter, with interesting characterization and a plot line that leaves you wondering where this is all going.

Bottom line: Read it, enjoy it, love it.
