I feel like I read Kaleidoscope at a time when I needed to read it.  It's a book about grief and I felt that the kaleidoscope illustrations represented how different grief can look for people.  I loved the story of friendship.  This book is heartbreaking but beautiful and it made me feel things.

I'm not even sure how best to describe KALEIDOSCOPE, but what I can tell you is that I really liked it. The collection lives up to its name, the short pieces of fiction connected by loose fragments of narrative. Compelling in its focus on grief and friendship and curiosity about the world/universe, and I'm aching already (only a day after finishing it) to re-read it. Well worth checking out.
