I enjoyed reading this and thought the writing was better than in the first.

The beginning was my favourite part when it explored the effects of the traumatic experience in the first book. I liked how Feyre learned to heal from that trauma and was able to reclaim agency after abuse. I'm also a big fan of books about self discovery and found family! ❤️

Having said that, it is a very slow paced book and then a lot of things happen right at the end so I think the pacing of the plot could've been a bit better.

Still, I liked it and I'm looking forward to continuing the series! 4/5⭐ from me

I listened to this as an audiobook and thought the narration was very well done!

Not bad, but also not amazing. It's long enough that it meanders in the middle, but the ending like the last are intriguing enough that i will probably be picking up book 3
