While this book was not as good as his first one (Love is a mixtape), I did enjoy it thoroughly.

I wanted to love this book just based on the title alone. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations and I actually struggled to get through it. I thought some of the stories really hit the mark, but for me, most of them didn't and I felt a bit let down at the end of each chapter. I love the 80's though so parts of the book were fun and took me back to my own music voyage through my teenage years.
emotional informative lighthearted medium-paced

I loved the book, especially the part about David Bowie. Please don't miss the intro and all the fun talk about why people love Duran Duran. BTW Duran Duran's new album, All You Need is Now is quite fabulous!

Loved this book! It was a fun read and a different tone and stories than his book Love Is A Mixtape (Which I Loved Too.) I wouldn't suggest reading it if you don't know too much about bands and music from the 80's tho. I suggest this book.

Hilarious! Its rare that I laugh out loud when reading, & I laughed a ton with this book.

ih.
It's like one long start to an anecdote that never gets told.

Great memoir of the 1980's.

Sorry-I just hated this book. I still can't figure out how a chapter titled "Purple Rain Prince" could be about driving around one summer selling ice cream. It felt like disjointed ramblings from the author and that the only ties to Duran Duran and 80s music were the title chapters. I wish I had stopped at the title and never opened the book.

Great book...interesting to have each chapter as a song and to tie it into that particular point in his life
