I enjoyed watching Aly Raisman's routines and skills in the Olympics she was in. It was good to learn a little about her life. She has been blessed with a good family, has worked hard on her sport, and wrote a book that wasn't too bad. I have read books by her fellow teammates in the past. They all have very different stories, and hers is not less special than theirs. I am glad I finally read this. She seems like a nice lady. I am actually glad in the lack of things she wrote about Larry Nasser in this, but still explaining that she was abused. I think that is a small part of her story and that he should not take away from all her accomplishments. I am glad that she explained how much better she was treated by other doctors to let her know that Larry Nasser was doing things that seemed off.

Aly Raisman was born in 1994. She was placed in gymnastics when she was a year and a half old. She found a love for the sport, training and competing throughout her childhood and teen years. She was very talented, winning several medals. She competed in the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, where she won several medals. Raisman was a victim of Larry Nassar, and spoke out about his abuse. Her continued activism in sexual assault is inspiring and courageous.

My sister is the gymnastics fan in my life, where I prefer figure skating. I watched the 2016 Olympics with her and was very impressed by Raisman's talent and tenacity. She was a beautiful athlete to watch and seems to have a beautiful spirit as well. I enjoyed reading this book and learning about her struggled and her career.

Reading this book made me feel like I was best friends with Aly. Her voice and candor are endearing and it was so interesting to learn about her journey as such a successful Olympic gymnast! I love that she is an advocate for women and girls to love their bodies, to speak out about abuse, to be kind to others, to work twice as hard as everyone else and to never give up. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Dude this book SLAPS! I’ve been a fan of Aly ever since the 2012 Olympics, and I’m so glad I finally picked up this book to read. It’s a beautiful story highlighting her career, relationships, fitness, and mental health throughout her journey. It’s written in a way that it sounds like Aly is just chilling with her reader and telling them this story. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is a fan of gymnastics!

This is an interesting memoir of Aly Raisman and how competing in the Olympics and for herself changed everything for her. Aly is not a child prodigy, she worked hard and got where she was because of her passion for the sport and because she put in the necessary work to stand out. At first the book starts off a little slow, as Raisman spends time taking the reader chronologically through her childhood and through her grueling schedule and extolling the virtues of hard work. The ending was very interesting, as I found myself wanting to read more to see what happened during Olympics Games (even though I watched it). I gave this book four out of five stars because she does get a little repetitive.
