Intriguing concept of what is evil and how do we describe it. Looking at different viewpoints of how what one deems evil can be excusable to others. It delves deep into the sociology of how one group humans have considered something evil is considered absolutely normal and acceptable in others.

wasn't the easiest read so it took me a long time to finish. even after reading there are still some things I have to disagree on, but a lot of the content was really enlightening.

4.5, extremely interesting concept and super insightful. Also a tad uneasy with the concept that anyone can do "evil" acts. Definitely recommend!

It was fine. The author did just enough to keep me interested in each chapter’s topic, hoping I’d learn something new, then let me down with the bare minimum of research, data, or details. Each chapter is basically an introduction to different types of “evil” without the in-depth explorations I was hoping for. Look at this way: this book has you sitting in 3ft of water when you could be swimming in 40,000 leagues worth of conversation.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this book to challenge your beliefs and get a glimpse into that darker side of humanity. Very informative, written in an easy to understand style, and totally captivating.
