I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would, especially for a young adult novel. The concepts were well thought out and the political allegory shone through well. I do wish that the characterizations had been a little more complex and some of the naming, world building was a little underwhelming but otherwise it was good.

What a whirlwind of a book! It is a fascinating idea, a world where everything has been perfected and immortality has been achieved. Characters that are flawed and relatable. An insane "bad guy". The suspense of not knowing what's coming next and how it can possibly turn out okay. All the twists and turns... This was a thrilling and brilliant book. Loved it. Looking forward to continuing the story!
