I really liked Allie & Dean! I thought they were a cute couple. They went through their hardships and that helped them become a better couple. I cried when you know who dies, it broke my heart. Just the fact that he was there when Dean & Allie kind of debut as a couple in front of their friends. I kind of loved that their love language was physical touch. Normally I’m not a type of person who enjoys it or enjoys reading it, but this was done right. Sometimes it can be down cringy but I thought it was cute and just showed how much they love each other. Also, they way that Dean didn’t even notice that he was touching Allie at some parts, made my heart swell! I feel like Dean was just waiting for someone to take him by surprise and Allie did that. Allie was waiting for someone who excites her and he did that for her.

One of my fav romances. These characters have such great arcs both separate and together. There is an emotional hit and good themes about what it means to support your SO and how far you should go for them. Plus the good girl, bad boy vibes. I loved it 2x!!

"Let them see what a bad girl you are..."

  • Hockey romance
  • College romance
  • Forbidden
  • Playboy/player
  • Opposites Attract

Plot:
Dean Di Laurentis and Allie Hayes could not be more different. He is a complete and total player with a reputation on campus. And Allie just ended her second long-term relationship and she's only been with two people. Allie is trying to avoid her ex after breaking it off and calls her bestie, Hannah, for back up. But she's out of town so she tells her to go crash at Hannah's boyfriend's house. Did I mention her best friend's boyfriend is the captain of the hockey team and lives with Dean? He is unashamed about hitting on her and she’s resisting all his charm… for now 🥵

Writing:
As with the whole Off-campus series this one is dual POV. Writing is fast paced, easy to read and it's less than 400 pages. It's VERY spicy 🔥 I think the spiciest so far in this series. And I LOVED it. The text messages 💬 wow! There were two twists at the end of the book that I for real did not see coming. Which sort of gave it something else so I think that makes the book even better.

Tropes: bd$m, exhibitionism, voyuerism, fling, one-night stand, secret dating

I enjoyed this book. I thought Dean and Allie had great banter which showed great chemistry between them. While outlandish at times, I thought the spicy scenes were fun. Both characters and their relationship go on a well rounded journey as characters and as a pairing.

I thought this book was more enjoyable then the previous two books because there was less sexism and internalized misogyny.
